| Summary: | BAIINFO-China, Domestic low-sulfur CPC prices fluctuated sharply in H1. Supported by bullish GPC market, low-sulfur CPC prices surged by RMB 1,800/T in Jan-Apr. However, downstream users could not accept high cost, leading low-sulfur CPC prices to emerge 5 rounds of drop since May. At present, the mainstream market prices had been RMB 1,300-2,000/T lower than that in late Apr. Besides, downstream graphite electrode plants still gained limited profits, which was negative for low-sulfur CPC shipments. |
